The mattress determines the support and ergonomics, while the mattress topper determines the lying comfort. In the case of upholstered mattresses, the sides are made from a fabric at choice. They are usually upholstered in the same fabric as the box spring.

When an upholstered mattress is chosen, only the mattress topper needs to be protected with a mattress protector and a fitted sheet. The mattress is also less heavily loaded.

The ergonomic core of the mattress has 3 different zones, built up asymmetrically. Each zone supports a specific part of the body: shoulders, hips and legs.

The shoulder zone flexibly accommodates the shoulder while providing adequate support. While the hip zone offers stability, there is a zone which provides flexible support for the legs.
