Silicone-free: silicones make a product easier to spread. However, certain silicones can block the skin and, in the long term, actually do nothing for it. They contain no nutrients, vitamins, or minerals. They make your skin look temporarily better, but as soon as you remove the product, the effect disappears. Silicones are, environmentally, almost as harmful as plastic.
No mineral oils: Mineral oils create an impermeable greasy layer on the skin. Nothing can get in, and nothing can get out. This increases the risk of clogged pores.
